Soccer is finally over!!! Thank goodness....just as it was getting too cold to bear!! Troy did a great job coaching Marley. Marley started out a little slow, but by the end of the season she was wanting to play a lot more. She even made a couple of goals the last game. She is a great runner and is a bit more of an athlete than her older sister!

As you can see she was tired and sat down as everyone else kept playing.

Was more interested in having us take pictures of her while she was playing.

We went up to Sun Valley over the break with Troy for some work stuff. We had a great time. We woke up to SNOW!!!! The girls were soo excited. It seriously felt like it was December!! Lucky we brought some coats!

We had an amazing family trip too the Oregon Coast this summer. My parents and brother and sister-in- law joined us with little Mazzi. It was fun to get away and just enjoy eachother. The weather was pretty nice and the girls LOVED the ocean and picking up shells and just hanging out on the beach!

Avery has made it...she graduated from kindergarten. She is the class of 2020...how crazy is that!!! I still cannot believe that we are parents of a school aged kid. We have definitely had to change the way we do things around here. We have gotten into a schedule of homework, chores, and of course a little fun :) She is a very good student and loves math and science. She has always been very interested in facts. Thank goodness she has her dad to teach her random things about the world. They get on the computer and look up information...sooo sweet to see!!

Wow!!! How time flies.....Marley is now the age Avery was when she was born. Avery seemed soo much bigger!! Marley is still my baby....and I treat her like one a little too often...she is a snuggler and always comes up with ways to make us laugh. She has this charisma about her that cannot be taught!! She knows if she is in trouble she can just say "I love you mama" and I am done being mad. She has a temper that I have never seen. She is stubborn...and that is going to kick our rears in the future. I love this little girl and our family is blessed to have her!

Easter Egg Hunt!

I am soo mad at our neighborhood. I have done the Easter egg hunt for the past 4 years, and I was not able to do it this year with everything going on. Well......i would of done it if no one else did! It was such a pain to try and find one. We decided to go this Community one. They had bounce houses and it was pretty fun. There were a ton of kids there. Marley's age was fun because those kids still do not know what to do. By the time they got to Avery's age those kids are rearing to go! Avery got bounced around and the eggs were gone in less that a minute. This is the face of a little girl that only got 4 eggs. She was soo mad!

Avery at Gateway

We loved the gateway Center (see below)..Avery loved being the cowgirl. She was planting and taking her harvest to the store. She also loved being the mailman and taking the letters to the different parts of the city. She also loved playing with the boys (which scares me). I am finding that she is a bit of a flirt......hmmmm. Taking the kids for a drive!
She was able to be a newscaster and see herself on TV.

When we were down in Utah it was cold and the girls do not want to shop all day...bummer :) I was also getting very tired of swimming in the cold hotel pool! I found Discovery at Gateway. This place was amazing and the girls could of stayed all day. They had a miniture city that they were able to be all these different things. Marley loves the store and the little house that she could bring the food too. We will definitely go again!

We went down to Utah for the weekend to go to my new sis in law's wedding shower. I took the girls to see the aquarium down there. It actually was not half bad. They had a touch tank and a bunch of ocean life. The pictures are dark, but atleast you can see the fish :)

Andrew, my brother, is getting married next month. His fiance, Jessica, has graciously said that Avery and Marley can be flower girls, or girls that just wear pretty dresses :) Well, Avery when trying on the dress that grandma has ran all over the country trying to find for the 3 grand-daughters, said I think this will be beautiful for MY WEDDING! I know she feels like this will be her day:) She is going to be my bridezilla...the poor guy who is out there somewhere doesn't know what he is going to get himself into!!

Mani Pedi Birthday Party

For Avery's 6th Birthday I decided to try a party at our house. This is the first year, I have always done something at a different place. I was trying to be thrifty and thought I could seriously do this cheaper and easier. UMMMM NO!! I had to clean my house twice, once before and then once after. I bought a bunch of stuff to do hair and nails, and paid some students to come over and help. By the end it was almost the same as some of the places we had been in the past, where I did not have to clean up, make a cake, or buy goodie bags!! I have decided it is better to go somewhere else :) I love just leaving and coming home to a clean house :)

We did have a great time with 16 little 6 year olds getting their hair and nails done.

My sweet, sweet, little Avery. She is one of the nicest little girls around. She tries soo hard to be a great friend and person. Avery is a great big sister and she is Marley's little idol. Avery has been a complete joy. I cannot believe it has been 6 years that she has been in our lives. It makes me sad that the time has gone by soo fast. I love spending time with her and we are now having great conversations. She has recently started having a little attitude and thinking for herself, which sometimes is not fun :) It has been soo much fun to watch her grow from a fat little baby into a kind and thoughtful little girl. Troy is on an adult Hockey team, where all of his old Steelhead teamates and himself play a couple of games through out the year. It is fun to get out of town and support Dad. We had a great time in Sun Valley. We went tubing saw a couple of games (never made it through a whole one...sorry Troy). We had a great time seeing old friends!!

PS. All of the players decided to grow mustache's. They looked like a bunch of 1970's guys out there on the ice. Thank goodness that thing is gone now!!

Christmas Break!

Avery got the infamous cupcake maker..the cupcakes taste like soap!!!! Santa brought Troy some new pajamas.....ummm they were a little big and he looked like an old man with his pants pulled all the way up.....it was the thought that counts though....thanks Santa!! Marley and Avery got their beautiful princess night gowns....Marley will not take the thing off!!! We had fun making cookies at Grandma's house and we had some fun play dates with friends!!

I absolutely love this time of year. I love the Christmas season...but, most of all I LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas Break. While a lot of you out there dread these two weeks with your kids back at home....I love it :) Troy works from home, so we have had a ton of family time. Our schedules are pretty crazy, soo it is nice to have a couple of weeks to just hang out and do whatever. We saw some movies, went to Rafiki, went sledding, and slept in (my favorite!), and caught up on my tivo'd Top Chef!!..In my next life I want to be on that show and learn how to chop that fast and make stuff out of 3 ingredients ;) I usually have a list of things I want to accomplish....but just like summer time....I usually never get to them or do not end up having the motivation! It's funny how fast two weeks goes when you are not at work!!!

I cannot believe it has been another year...I ran this last year and it was soo much fun. This year was soo cold and snowy, I was a little nervous. My neighbor friend Holly and I talked ourselves into it and went for it. We had a great time and it is a fun way to start the Christmas Holiday! The problem is afterwards you stuff your face with soup, bagels, and cookies..all your hard work goes down the drain!!!

Here is my rendition of a family letter . I am telling you all that I am being “green” and saving paper by emailing our Christmas letter….or is it just that I am procrastinating??? You all can come up with your own answer to that ! Here is what our family has been up to the past year!

Troy is still working for Stryker medical and is really enjoying it. He has grown his territory and enjoys going into the Hospitals and meeting new people. His territory is all of Southern Idaho. He is usually on the road for a couple of days a month. He gets to work from home which can be a good thing and bad. He is enjoying Hockey and plays quite a bit during the month and travels to McCall to play on the Mountaineer team up there.

Rachel just made the move to the new Rocky Mountain High. It is right across the street and is now on time on most days! I am a counselor and feel lucky to have a great job I love. I was granted a scholarship to start my School Administration Specialist. So I started school again for the 3rd time. It has been a little crazy, but a good experience.

Avery started kindergarten this year at Paramount Elementary. She loves school and is doing very well. Her teacher says she is a leader in class and friendly to everyone, but, sometimes can be a little chatty….(who did she learn that from ) She has been involved in singing and dancing lessons and is a performer! She also loves swimming and is a wonderful big sister to Marley.

Marley is a feisty little girl who is always into something. She has a little bit of a temper and an attitude in her. She will definitely fight for what she wants! She loves Avery and will do whatever Avery does, until she wants something Avery has ,and then it becomes a fight. Marley is starting to realize she is funny and will do whatever for a laugh.

I am the worst mother!!! We have never really had snow clothes! I have now finally bought our kids snow pants...I know how horrible is that to never have had winter gear living in Idaho! We never get that much snow, so I never really thought about it! But, after our initial snow and everyone was playing outside in their snow pants.....i went and got them some! Avery had a fit because she did not want to wear clothes under them and Marley won't wear anything if Avery does not....soo, they are hanging in the closets.....but they have them!

I cannot believe how fast time flies!! One minute it was August and the next thing I now know it is the middle of October!! It has been a little crazy starting back to school and now going to school!! I cannot seem to find anytime to do my homework.....so we will see how I do in my classes~!

Avery's 1st Day of School

Yes...the day has come where my little baby is going to school. I knew it was coming, just not soo quick. She was more than ready and even got a rainbow sticker the 1st day...only 2 people got them the 1st day. Do I sound like a bragging mom or what ;) She gets to catch the bus on the corner of the street. Troy walks her to the bus and sees that she gets on. After 2 days, Avery asks if she can just go alone....i can't take it.....it's going by in a blink..she doesn't need me as much!! I am not the center of her world anymore......
It was my first day at Rocky Mountain High too!!! I will never open up a new school again!! It has been CRAZY!!!!! Please remind me of the craziness when another one opens up and I want a change!

The Botanical Garden has a fun Bug day for kids. We had soo much fun. We learned all about the world of bugs. Here is Avery trying to catch one. We put our bug in a jar and then they would tell us what it was...ours was a fly:) We could of just caught one in our house!

Yes we are alive!! I know that it has been soo long...we have had a wonderful and crazy summer!! It is amazing how fast time flies. I love my summers with the kids and just to have no schedule and be able to go where the day takes us...and sometimes that is absolutely nowhere:)

We loved out trip to Canada to see Troy's family...a lot of them had never seen Marley before...so it was a long time coming. We loved catching up and hanging out at the lake with no Tv or Computer access. Troy had to drive to find it so he could do a little work.

On our little vaca to Utah along with Lagoon you have to go the zoo. We had somehow hit it the first weekend of 100 degree weather. All the animals were inside like we all should of been. But we sweat it out and had fun looking at the animals.....we do not have the best zoo here in Boise. I think a lot of those animals were there when I was a kid!

Well we finally got through a year of dance!! Avery loves to dance, but not soo much taking class. She loves to do what she wants...but in class she is having to learn and do things that are not has fun as dancing in our living room. The only thing that got us through was me saying that she gets to dance on a stage, get a sequin costume and wear makeup...that was the most important :)

I have to say...I have tried not to pressure in anyway...but I was very proud of her...most of all of just finishing!

Avery's cheering crowd! She made sure to tell us that we could not say or clap until the very end. And then when all the girls were going off stage, she stayed on waving at us...it was soo funny!

Marley is 2...I cannot believe it...she has suddleny changed into a little girl. She is talking all the time and tries to be soo funny. She loves playing with Avery and they are such good buddies. Avery is the one person she wants attention from. It is soo heartwarming to see them play and love eachother. Thanks for the cake Grandma!!

She got a swimming pool from Grandpa Ali and Grandma Shirley in Canada. Both Great grandmothers sent her a birthday card!
Avery got these big birthday parties when she was 1-3. I decided that since she does not remember them I can just wait with Marley....poor 2nd child :) We had everyone over that she loves...that is all that matters to her...and ice cream!

Mothers Day

The Girls love Grandma and spending time together. Marley still cannot actually say "grandma", so she just calls everyone "papa". For mothers day both grandma and I got a show put on by the girls. This is a nightly event at our house. It is all about dressing up and dancing....what are we in for :)
Avery found a pair of my old fake glasses....she now wears them when she reads with dad. She says they are making her smarter.....whatever works!
One thing I love about summer is making a fire and roasting marshmallows.....it is like camping....but then you can go to bed in your house and not have to deal with the bugs and squatting to go to the bathroom!!
For mothers day I got my nice big hanging baskets..we love looking at them and being on our patio..it is like a nice little oasis! Thank you!!

Yes, I know what a lot of you are thinking....I had those shirts....Oh yes....have not seen these in awhile have ya!! Thanks to my mom for keeping all this stuff. Yes, these shirts are from the good ol days at the Dance Dimensions or what we now call the Double D :) They have to be 25 year old!!! CRAZY!!! I have the pom poms, the sequin unitard with the sequin arm bands. We have worn those arm bands out in public quite often. I am bringing a lot of you back some fun memories. Thanks Mom!! For some reason I cannot figure out how to make the pictures upright....my little posers!!

Oh yes...she loves the camera...and knows how to come up with the right pose right when I ask....what am I in for...I am worried....
Marley feels really cool when she can wear the same thing as Avery....or just wear Avery's clothes....she idolizes her big sister... she will mind what Avery says instead of me.....I get overrided quite a bit~!

Kinder Registration

I know every parent says this...but I cannot believe it is time for Avery to go to school!! Yikes....how fast time flies!! We had Kinder Registration and she was soo excited....me being the educator, I totally quized and tested her the night before...so she would pass all the tests :) We practiced hopping on one foot, went through shapes, colors, letters, and numbers...poor Avery.....I was already the helicopter parent...the exact ones I hate to work with myself. I am going to have to stop that.....I do not want to be that parent that I avoid at school! Avery will be attending a fullday kinder. She is excited and ready to be at the "big school"

It was soo hard!!! But I crossed the finish line....it took me 3 hours..but my goal was slow and steady. I felt it was harder for me than actual childbirth and there was a point that I did not think I could go on....but there was no where else to go!! I am undecided right now if I will ever run that thing again!! Thank you Holly and Christy for motivating me and decorating my car...sorry I was soo hard to find. It was soo swwet of you guys!
Jen, Emily and I...my running buddies....we really did not stay together too long...we look so happy and excited before the race....we did not know that in the next 3 hours we'd be wondering why we did this to ourselves!!

After the race....these are fake smiles for the camera...and we are mad that we did not get our potato..........we need to be faster next time......then we can get the food!! Thank you guys....we did it!

SO I am doing it....I have 2 more days!!! I have been hearing horror stories about my toenails falling off and turning black, not being able to walk for a couple days! My goal is to be slow and steady!! If any of you have any advice for running this half marathon let me know....I guess it is straight up the mountain and then straight down.....If I do not blog for awhile you will know that I am in bed soaking my feet :)

Troy Needs A Boy!

Poor Troy....the Hockey Player that lives with a bunch of girls! He is such a good sport and lets the girls play beauty shop with him. The girls LOVE to play with daddy! His favorite game is "King", they are the servants and massage his feet or bring him food whenever he asks....and yes, this was Avery's idea for a game. I was like, what kind of game is this....when do we get to play "Queen" . She said we don't play queen but you can be the servant with us too.....I was thinking...I have already been playing this game with you all already!! This is my life :) But, then I told her that I do not want to be the "Queen", I want to be the "Emperor" of all the land!! And you all can be my servants....she said she will think about it and get back to me.......go figure!! Pretty Daddy!!! He needs some testosterone in the family before he turns into a girl!

Okay all of my blogging buddies...I need some help! I have tried and tried to get a new background from other sites to make my blog as cute as all of you!!

Questions:
1. What sites do you all go to...I am not a scrapbooking person..and I want it free...is this possible?
2. After you have downloaded a background, how do you get it to be a template for your blog!

Have have seriously spent hours trying to do this! With no luck and a lot of frustration...I consider myself a little techy....I am the tech support here at my house with Troy(sorry, you know it is true!) So why can't I figure this out!! Please help me!

My Cleaners!!

I now understand why parents like to teach their kids to enjoy cleaning and working now, so they will be able to just do it for us and just take it all over in the future. The girls love to help clean. At first it was more trouble because I can do it faster.....but I had a little "AHA" moment....if I make it seem fun, hopefully they will just do it for me in the future....like live in cleaners!! The only problem with these two is that they are very picky in what they want to clean, and it never happens to be their room or toys...but I will take what I can get! The only difference between me and Marley...is that I do not clean in the nude :) We had to do a censored picture to post!!
We are trying to mop the floor...Marley was slipping and falling everywhere because of the swimming pool they made on my hardwood..!!

Spring Break

For those that have lived in Boise for a long time will know about POJOS and how ghetto it used to be...it still is but in a classier way....it has been soo cold here this week, which is a bummer for Spring Break, but we needed an activity and we went. The girls had fun time and it was a good to get out of the house.....
I went out of the room and when I came back in Marley's face was a different color...love those markers...they seem to be everywhere!

I tried to take some photos together....Avery was very brave for some of the rides...not soo much for others...they had to stop the Haunted House and let us get off because she was crying soo hard and saying "don't make me go" I thought they were going to turn me in :)

I think Avery will eventually be working at Disneyland....she was able to be in the High School Musical show and dance with the characters!! She was in heaven!

I took Avery to Disneyland at the first part of March. I went with Eagle's dance and cheer team. We had some really good mommy and Avery time which she needed. We were walking down Downtown Disney and they have this shop called LIbby Luu. They makeover little girls and you get makeup and sparkles etc. Well this was better than Disneyland....she got the works adn then wore the outfit for the next 3 days.....i didn't even need to pack!!

I am trying to be a little more creative!!! I am finding new tools everyday. Avery got a belly dancing present from Italy from Troys bother who is stationed there with his family. She is loving dancing around and hearing all the jingles whenever she is moving. You can see her doing her dancing poses. Marley is another story. She loves wearing Avery's Barbie nightgown...everywhere. And she has this thing about a wet cloth. All she wants is to carry around a wet cloth everywhere. She also likes carrying around her wipies. I do not know if it is a sign that she will be a cleaning lady :) The picture where she looks mad is when I took away the wet cloth....at that particular moment I did not know where she got it....scary!!!

The Holidays!

I didn't take that many pictures this year!!! or some of them have me in them..and we do not need to see that :) Christmas was really nice and relaxed...the girls are still easy and not requiring the most popular item. Avery just wants a lot of presents (i love the $1 store) and Marley just likes the boxes and paper....
You can tell we do not have a lot of snow gear....it usually doesn's snow that much....as you can see the outfits they are wearing are a little scary...they wanted to play in the snow soo bad..so Marley looks like a little munchkin.
Avery loves hair supplies and makeup..poor Troy...he lives in a complete girl house!!
Marley got this nice soft chair from Grandma and Grandpa...she spent all day in it and would not let Avery get in it..she'd push her out and say "NO MINE" .....she is a fighter! As you can still see she is attached to her thumb...
As you can see again....still in the chair. Santa Claus sent Avery a letter telling her that is she did not clean her room he would not be coming...that was good fo about a week until he came. The room is now messy again....I might need to make up a President's day guy that beings presents if you keep your room clean.....

I finished a race!!

So I needed a goal and decided to run in th 10k Christmas Race down town....it was uphill in the Highlands and then went back behind Camels Back and then around downtown. I thought I was going to die a couple of times going up the hill....but I came in at 1 hour...which was better than I thought....next goal Robie!! Oh yeah...for all of you who I asked..I got the bangs...they look better when I have not just ran for an hour!!
I told Troy to come at 11:30 because I thought it was going to take me a lot longer...they missed me coming into the finish line...but better late then never..
Here are the kids playing around at the Christmas Tree downtown. As you can see Marley got a haircut....she threw a brush at me and said "NO, NO, NO!!" So she got her hair chopped off :)

Eagle Dance Team had a little dance clinic for kids....Avery was is heaven and in her own...she's been waiting to dance on that floor since she was born and being at all those practices in moms tummy!!!

It's been awhile!! I am sorry...I need to take pictures more often..Marley loves helping me do laundry.....or just dumping all the folded clothes out so she can get in the basket.
Avery is becoming a fashion queen......our outfits are a little scary, which makes mom very nervous when we go out in public....i always start conversations with "she dressed herself today"!!

Today I actually had to think about how old I am turning....I could not remember!! I didn't remember if I was 32 and turning 33....I am 32..SCARY!! I got the best present ever from Troy...I came home from school and the house had been cleaned!!! To actually have our house clean all at once instead of one room...it was heaven!!! We had dinner the night before at my parents house and the girls frosted the cake...i think it was more eating the frosting than actually putting it on the cake. Marley is now having to do everything that Avery is.....she cannot be left out!!

Troy is our outside man, he has done a really great job landscaping and taking care of the yard. He planted a great garden this past summer until I ruined it by spraying a huge spider with some sort of chemical...anything to kill the thing :)

Avery has been ready for Halloween since September when Grandma and Grand pa bought her the costume!! She has been counting down the days. Marley was a flower and started to understand that when you ring the door bell you get candy...she was all over that and ran to each house. We go down to my parents house because they actually give the kids presents and full size candy bars....she doesn't know what it is like just to get a little sweet tart candy at a house...she now expects presents!!!
